You connect through words: alias, tagline, long-form bio. No photos in the feed and no swiping. When you match, Slow Chat keeps the pace human: one outbound message from you per day in that conversation, so anticipation has room to breathe (each person has their own daily allowance).
Why it works
Depth needs time. You learn about values, humour, and priorities — the things that matter before you ever meet. When you’re ready, you can exchange contact details voluntarily; the app never forces a reveal.
